The event has traditionally been held in October each year, but a shift to September has been in the works to reduce conflict with Halloween events taking place in the parks. Disney joined in with Pride Month celebrations on June 1, posting a tweet of some of its iconic characters walking across a flag with all the colours of the Progress Pride flag. In the past, this unofficial event has included specialty snack and merchandise items available for purchase around the park, as well as trivia, scavenger hunts, and more! Main Street, U.S.A. Gay Days will officially take place at Disneyland from September 17th through 19th, 2021. But according to Orange County Register, the event will return in 2021! Of course, last year Gay Days did not take place due to Disneyland’s extended closures.
